Expeditions to the Cold Regions

ATOL

The Cold Regions

Our expeditions to Antarctica include climbs on the Antarctic Peninsula, alpine crossings of South Georgia, ascents of the continent's highest mountain, Vinson and ski expeditions to the South Pole. In Greenland, we run exploratory expeditions to unclimbed peaks on the east coast and in 2008, will be making a crossing of the ice cap.

Antarctic Climber and South Georgia Traverse are climbing voyages that commence from Ushuaia in Tierra Del Fuego and take us into the remote, magical, wilderness that lies beyond the Southern Ocean. The expeditions are suitable for everyone, from climbers wishing to make ascents of straightforward alpine peaks, to those who just want to cruise and enjoy the landscape and abundant wildlife.

Vinson was the last of the Seven Continental Summits to be climbed. Located 1200Km from the South Pole, the summit temperatures can drop to -30°C.
